Mornington Peninsula Brewery

I am super proud to have been given the opportunity to redesign the blackboards and live music line-up mural for Mornington Peninsula Brewery - it's always a great pleasure to not only do what I'm most passionate about, but also to support local businesses on the peninsula!

The symbol used in the Mornington Peninsula Brewery's logo design derives from a medieval alchemy sign for Aurum Potabile; meaning 'drinkable gold'. For this reason, I chose to design the blackboards and mural with a gold, black and white colour scheme instead of the previous blue, black and white designs.

For each of the three blackboards and mural, I used a pencil to plan the layout and then went over the pencil work with Uni POSCA markers. Though this was slightly more time-consuming, I felt it was the best and most efficient way because I didn't want to dive straight in with the markers and then realise later on that I had made the lettering too big or uneven.

Disclaimer: This mural design above isn't my work, I've just included it to show the Aurum Potabile symbol and the black and gold identity of MPB.

Here's some behind the scenes footage of me working on the Mornington Peninsula Brewery blackboard lettering.
