Melbourne

I created this lettering piece near the end of 2014 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of my parents and I emigrating to Melbourne from the UK! At the time, Melbourne was named the most liveable city in the world for the forth consecutive year...so this piece also celebrates that incredible achievement for this amazing city!

Despite 'Melbourne' being a name of a city, and should therefore start with a capital 'M', I decided to keep it all in lowercase because I wanted the lettering to be evenly balanced, with both ends having the little swirl.

It was a massive honour to have this piece featured on Goodtype!
